The shape of motherhood. So beautiful. #Repost from @sophiabarrettstudios • #womenshistorymonth: Today I wanted to highlight Anne-Marie Slaughter, mother to two boys. Anne- Marie was the first woman to serve as director of Policy Planning for the U.S. State Department during the Barrack administration. She is a former president of the American Society of International Law and the current President and CEO of New America. In 2012, she wrote “Why Women Still Can’t Have It All” for The Atlantic which was widely popular. Her article sparked a national discussion about how mothers balance work and home life, and how society and the workplace need to change to better facilitate mothers who work.
