I've always loved this quote:
Source: popular |
In the end the great truth will have been learned:
that the quest is greater than what is sought,
the effort finer than the prize -
or rather, that the effort IS the prize -
the victory cheap and hollow were it not for the rigour of the game.
- Benjamin Cardozo
2. Chill. Don't target success directly.
I screen-grabbed an 'obliquity' quote just now from - of all places - a business course online.
I didn't know business education had time for the warm-and-fuzzy.

Don't aim at success.
The more you aim at it and make it a target, the more you are going to miss it.
For success, like happiness, cannot be pursued; it must ensue,
and it only does so as the unintended side effect of one's personal dedication to a cause greater than oneself.
- Victor Frankl
