Perspectives. From the outside looking in.

I recently emailed an old friend who's American and whose work/life interests include penetrating the African investment market.
I hope he checks out this blog / that I can help him along in his quest ;)

Meanwhile, I just found a host of other "oyinbo-in-Nigeria" weblogs, by using the search blogs button at the top of this page with keyword "Nigeria."
I've learned a lot about my country from being an outsider (living in the US) these past years and definitely from reading outsider accounts of the place.

I'll only link to this, this, and this, but you can find a lot more.

My dear I mean good and the thing with the Japanese name,...:-) call me Kurokawa Takumi(black river)(open sea), does this sound or appear real good? If it must be, i'd have prefered (black sea)(open river); well, this is feeling like like a good connection, I'm an aquarius(water:river->sea).

Streaming music: just make a text file, name it with extension m3u, like myplaylist.m3u
In the text file, put the name of the music file(s) that you want to play (usually with the location) e.g. firstsong.mp3
secondsong.mp3
OR
http://www.coffee.com/song.mp3
or whatever
Both should be saved on some server so they can be accessed online. Now you can just hyperlink to the m3u file like you would to a page or html file.
I found this info online. Not sure if it's the coolest way to do it, but it works. I think.

With regards to "penetrating the African investment market," are there any stock market simulation game websites that allow people to "try stuff" out?? It'd be a great way to highlight the potential returns that are possible. Just a thought. Take a peek at what Sim Vest is doing. See: http://www.simvestsolutions.com/

Ooops...something like this should be tailored for African securities on places like the Nairobi Stock Exchange et al.
See: http://www.smartstocks.com/

Hopefully, I'll be able to add one to our EBusiness web portal at http://AyoAfrica.com down the road in order to entice people to join up.
